Alan Hutton has been left raving over Leeds United winger Jack Harrison after his “unplayable” performance against Aston Villa.
The former Villa star, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, admits the 23-year-old’s fitness levels were “through the roof” in the Whites’ 3-0 win.
Harrison, who is on loan from Manchester City for the third successive season, has started all but once in the Premier League this term as he was forced to sit out against his parent club.
Hutton faced up to the versatile winger while playing for Villa back in 2018 in a thrilling 3-2 win for Leeds at Villa Park.
The former Scotland star admits that he was blown away by what he saw from Harrison nearly two years on and that he played a vital role in last week’s clash.
Hutton told Football Insider: “I thought Jack Harrison was unplayable in the second half. His fitness levels are through the roof.
“The second half, it was difficult for Villa. Their fitness levels are so high they were creating overloads and it was always going to be hard.
“Sometimes you have to hold your hands up and say the better team won. I thought they were excellent.”
Harrison is now four games away from making 100 appearances for Leeds, while he has 11 goals and 13 assists under his belt.
He has the likes of Helder Costa, Ezgjan Alioski, Raphinha and Ian Poveda for competition out wide at Elland Road.
In other Leeds United news, Paul Robinson has told the club to sign England international amid contract termination talks.
