Hutton suggests Aston Villa could sign Winks after Paratici reveal at Tottenham

Alan Hutton has tipped Aston Villa and Everton to be in the hunt to sign Harry Winks from Tottenham this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs right-back suggested the 25-year-old could slot into any Premier League team from sixth downwards.

As revealed by Football Insider last week (June 9th), Fabio Paratici has told the 25-year-old that the club will listen to offers for him this summer.

It is understood Spurs are looking for a £30million fee but could accept a lesser offer.

Hutton admitted Winks needs to prioritise playing time at this stage of his career.

He mooted West Ham, Villa or Everton as potential destinations.

“I don’t think there are many teams he wouldn’t fit into,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.

“He’s not going to go to Man City, he’s not going to go to Liverpool, we know that.

“There’s a place for him at any of the other teams – Everton, Villa, these sort of teams in that bracket, West Ham. These sort of teams in that bracket he could slot into no problem whatsoever.

“For me, the decision is all about playing. You don’t want to go to a club where you’re not playing because you’re in the same situation.

“You want to go somewhere where you’re loved and you’re going to be one of the first names on the team sheet if you’re playing well. That’s what he’s got to look for at the moment.”

Winks played 30 times across all competitions last term but fell out of favour under Jose Mourinho.

The academy graduate has a total of 173 appearances under his belt for the Lilywhites.
