Hutton tips Rangers for money-spinning Jones deal after 6-figure price is set
Rangers will be delighted by the transfer attention Jordan Jones is gathering on loan at Sunderland, according to Alan Hutton.
The former Gers defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the winger’s temporary switch had turned into the “perfect situation” ahead of the summer window.
Teamtalk claim Stoke Barnsley, Cardiff and Middlesbrough have all enquired about Jones ahead of the summer window.
As revealed by Football Insider in February, Rangers have set a £600,000 price tag on the 26-year-old’s head after being cast out at Ibrox.
He has impressed on loan at Sunderland so far, with two goals and three assists under his belt in nine Championship games.
Hutton suggested Rangers would be thrilled there is so much interest in the winger as they look to maximise the profit on his exit.

“I think this is an opportunity for him to be out in the shop window and really look to move on,” Hutton told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“It’s a chance for him to further his career, whether it be down south, that’d be a good move for him. This is exactly why they’ve done it and it’s the perfect situation.
“If you’re not wanting a certain player in your squad or you’re feeling it’s time for them to move on, if they go out on loan and impress, then of course.
“You want to make money off your players, your fringe players, whatever it may be. He seems to have found some form and probably happiness with where he’s at the moment.
“For him, I think the ideal situation is to continue that progression and keep playing where you’re happy.
“It seems like a move for him would be ideal. Obviously, Rangers making money out of him playing well is good for all parties.”
