‘I am finished’ – Rangers fans can’t believe ‘sensational’ Philippe Clement news

Rangers fans absolutely loved that manager Philippe Clement got a red card during their friendly against Hertha Berlin on Saturday (13 January).

The Gers travelled to Spain to take on the Bundesliga 2 side for a winter break friendly which afforded 22 first-teamers minutes before their next competitive clash on 20 January.

They went on to lose the clash 1-0, but many fans were adamant that the highlight of the game was the Belgian seeing red for a disagreement with the referee.

Early in the second half, the boss became incensed with the officials after Scott Wright gave away a free kick for handling the ball after going down.

Wright clearly thought he’d won a foul fairly after he drove deep into Hertha’s half, but the referee disagreed and gave a foul the other way, which did not go down well with Clement.

The boss’ subsequent protests were deemed strong enough that he warranted a dismissal, which led to a hilarious image of him peering over a fence to watch the final half an hour of the game.

Fans have taken to social media to react to the odd incident, and many feel that it is further proof that Clement truly gets the club.
