‘I can’t believe it’ – Fans in disbelief as footage appears of Alexander Isak’s first Liverpool training session
Fans have clamoured to social media to grab a first look of Alexander Isak in action for Liverpool, with new training footage emerging on Wednesday.
Isak completed his blockbuster move to Liverpool by breaking the deadline day transfer record, in a deal worth £125 million.
Liverpool fans have had to wait two weeks to get a look at Isak in action, with Isak signing after the last set of Premier League games before the international break.
Isak only managed 25 minutes of action while away on international duty with Sweden, but he looks set to make his Liverpool debut at the weekend in some capacity.
Due to Isak’s push for a move to Liverpool, his preseason has been delayed, meaning the 25-year-old will face an uphill task to gain match fitness ahead of the Merseyside club’s trip to Burnley on Sunday.
Arne Slot’s side welcome Bayern Munich and Everton to Anfield in the following week, giving Isak an increased chance of making his full Liverpool debut at home.

Isak brings a pedigree with him to Liverpool, as one of the world’s best strikers, alongside the likes of Erling Haaland and Harry Kane.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Liverpool posted a video of Isak preparing for his first training session with the club since his big money move.
Isak has scored 54 Premier League goals in 86 matches while at Newcastle, and Liverpool fans will hope he can continue that form under Slot.
Slot’s side have had a perfect start to their Premier League title defence, winning all three of their opening Premier League games, scoring eight goals in the process.

That potent attacking form will only improve with the addition of Isak, and Liverpool’s fanbase have reflected their buoyant mood on social media.
One comment echoed the voice of many Reds fans, saying: “I still can’t believe we signed Isak.”
Another added a more serious analysis of Isak’s swift return from international duty, saying: “Isak is not joking. Back already with the boys and already fighting for the start ahead of Burnley.”
Meanwhile another fan offered a more reasoned approach to the footage, saying: “I wonder when his first start will be, got a lot of games coming up in the next 2/3 weeks – I’d imagine 20 minutes or so this weekend and go from there.”
