‘I just love it’ – Sky pundit wowed by one thing Andoni Iraola has done at Bournemouth
Bournemouth continued their impressive start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 win over Fulham on Friday.
Two goals and an assist from Antoine Semenyo ensured that Bournemouth defeated Fulham to move up to second-place in the top flight.
The Cherries have now enjoyed four wins and two draws since they were beaten 4-2 by Liverpool on the Premier League’s opening weekend.
Amid Bournemouth’s excellent form, Tottenham remain interested in Semenyo, while Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Andoni Iraola’s men could accept a fee of £80million for the Ghana international.

Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola praised for his attention to detail
Bournemouth’s victory over Fulham saw the Dorset club extend their unbeaten run to six games in the Premier League.
Speaking live on Sky Sports Premier League on 3 October, former Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell heaped praise on Iraola: “I think he’s been a revelation, really, and he came in after Gary O’Neil. A lot of eyebrows were raised about that.
“The stats back it up, I just love the way that he goes about every single game. His attention to detail, the way that he attacks every team. Defensively really good, nothing ever seems to be a problem nor excuse.
“They just get on with it game to game. I think keeping him at that football club was imperative for Bournemouth.”
Justin Kluivert completes unique family feat in victory over Fulham
The spotlight is rightly on both Semenyo and Iraola after Bournemouth claimed yet another win in an increasingly impressive Premier League season.
Bournemouth’s last three results | Premier League |
Newcastle (H) | 0-0 D |
Leeds (A) | 2-2 D |
Fulham (H) | 3-1 W |
However, Justin Kluivert has also earned plaudits for scoring his first goal of the season as the Cherries defeated Fulham 3-1.
Impressively, the 26-year-old became the third Kluivert brother to score in three consecutive days, with his younger brothers Shane and Ruben scoring on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively.
Shane Kluivert scored in the UEFA youth league for the Barcelona Under-19s, whereas Ruben Kluivert netted for Lyon in the Europa League.
Meanwhile, if the Bournemouth man can better last season’s success of 13 goals and eight assists in 39 appearances across all competitions, then Iraola’s side have every chance of continuing their progress in the Premier League after finishing ninth in the top flight last term.
The Cherries face Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest, and Manchester City in their first games back after the international break.
