Ian Wright delivers verdict on future of Arsenal 28-year-old, fans will not be happy
By Danny Wright
Ian Wright has said that if he was Alexis Sanchez then he would look to leave Arsenal.
The 28-year-old stormed out of training in midweek after a row with his teammates and was subsequently dropped to the bench for Arsenal’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool on Saturday.
Sanchez did come off the bench at half-time and assisted Danny Welbeck’s goal with a magnificently weighted through ball.
However Wright has remained sympathetic towards the Chilean international and has suggested that the player is highly unsettled at the Emirates after the club has suffered a series of poor results.
“I’m not sure if money is going to keep him there at the moment because if he’s storming out of training and not playing in games…” Wright said to BBC Sport.

“It doesn’t seem to be a problem for him when he does come on because he still performs to the best of his ability.
“If I was him, I’d probably want to leave as well because what’s happening with Arsenal right now is not what he came to Arsenal for, especially not being in the top four.
“Everything points towards that he’s unsettled, he’s unhappy and it seems to me like he wants to go.”
Arsenal have suffered a humiliating loss to Bayern Munich in the Champions League and league defeats to Watford, Chelsea and Liverpool in their last six matches which has seen their title campaign derailed for another year.
Adding salt to the wounds, the Gunners have also dropped out of the top four of the Premier League and if they don’t improve it would mean they would fail to qualify for the Champions League for the first time during Arsene Wenger’s 21-year reign.
Despite a poor start to the second half of the season for the north London club, Sanchez has put in yet another campaign of top quality performances.
In 35 appearances in all competitions, the former Udinese and Barcelona attacker has scored 20 goals and bagged 17 assists.
In other Arsenal news, Piers Morgan has responded to the reports regarding Sanchez’s training meltdown.
