Ian Wright delivers verdict on Tottenham power shift in North London
By Danny Wright
Ian Wright has ruled out the possibility of a shift in power in North London, despite Tottenham looking set to secure their first league finish above Arsenal in 22 years.
The two bitter rivals will come to blows at White Hart Lane on Sunday in a game that has a lot of significance for both sides.
It will be the final North London derby at the Lane ahead of Spurs’ temporary move to Wembley next season, as their historic ground is demolished to pave way for the new build.
The clash will be Tottenham’s chance to give their old home a worthy send-off, while Arsenal will be aiming to rain on their rivals’ parade.
Mauricio Pochettino and his men can also move within a point of Premier League leaders Chelsea if results go their way on Sunday in a bid to keep their title hopes alive.

Despite ruling out a shift in power, former Arsenal striker Wright has claimed that Spurs are on the verge of doing something special with their current crop of players.
“The Arsenal fans seem to have a problem with people talking about a shift in power – there’s a shift in something because Spurs are different the last couple of years,” said Wright on BT Sport’s Live Premier League Tonight on Saturday evening.
“They’ve got a great manager, a great young team. They’ve got massive new stadium being built.
“They’re on the cusp of doing something special.
“A ‘shift in power’ is not the right term to use, but I think there is something happening at Spurs.”
Tottenham have only won one of their last nine meetings with Arsene Wenger’s side going into Sunday’s clash.
Three points for Wright’s former club would see them move within two points of the Champions League spots.
In other Tottenham news, the club have entered the race to sign this Serie A contract rebel.
