Ianis Hagi sends two-word message to Rangers fans after Celtic demolition
Rangers star Ianis Hagi has taken to social media to celebrate their comprehensive 3-0 win over Old Firm rivals Celtic on Thursday (January 2).
The 26-year-old scored the opener at Ibrox after just seven minutes as Rangers closed the gap on Celtic at the top of the league to 11 points.
Hagi’s goal was an impressive low drive into the bottom right corner from just outside the box, leaving Kasper Schmeichel in the Celtic goal with no chance.
Vaclav Cerny nearly bagged their second shortly after, rattling the crossbar after Rangers’ incessant pressing caught out the current Scottish champions.
Celtic thought they had the equaliser shortly after half time but Kyogo Furuhashi’s lovely finish was ruled out for offside.
Robin Propper finally doubled the home side’s lead just after the hour mark, capitalising on Celtic’s failure to clear their lines from a corner.
Rangers’ press caught Celtic lacking once again, allowing Danilo to round off the scoring and earn a memorable first Old Firm win for Philippe Clement.

Hagi had been completely frozen out by Clement at the start of the season, forced to train with the reserves as Rangers looked to move him on for much-needed funds.
The attacking midfielder has since returned to the fold, starting eight of his 11 games across all competitions, scoring two goals, and providing three assists in his 836 minutes of action.
Clearly delighted with both his and his side’s performance in the win over Celtic, Hagi took to Instagram, simply saying: “Ibrox baby.”

Rangers are still some way off Celtic at the top of the table, but this Old Firm win could be the boost they need to change their fortunes after a frustrating start to the season.
Clement’s side will travel to Edinburgh to face Hibernian on Sunday (January 5) as they seek to gain further ground on their arch-rivals.
