Rangers to accept seven-figure Ianis Hagi offer – sources
Rangers winger Ianis Hagi “saved his agent from putting his hand in his own pocket” and is expected to leave by the end of the summer.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior transfer correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed the Light Blues are listening to offers for the winger, 25, and will sell him for a seven-figure fee.
It is believed there is interest in the Romania international from multiple European clubs, who have held preliminary talks with Rangers over a deal.
Hagi’s agent claimed he is willing to pay his own money to secure a transfer for his client this summer, as he aims to help him find success.
The wide forward is under contract at Ibrox Stadium until 2026 but spent last season out on loan at Alaves.
Hagi has made 99 appearances for the Scottish giants, scoring 16 goals and providing 21 assists.
He showcased his capabilities during the European Championships, where he played in all four of Romania’s games.
Rangers expected to find a buyer for Ianis Hagi
“If you’re agent’s willing to pay money, he’s obviously getting it back from somewhere,” O’Rourke told Football Insider.
“Agents don’t do anything for nothing, there’s always a piece of the pie for somebody.
“He had a good Euros, I watched him a couple of times for Romania and he showed potential.
“His agent can keep his money in his pocket, if he’s one that Rangers will move on, somebody will pay what they need to take him away, probably for around £2-3million.
“For him personally, it’s obviously not worked at Rangers, going out on loan last season, he’s a player that’s surplus to requirements.

“However the move comes about I don’t imagine him to be at Ibrox or Hampden, or wherever Rangers are next season I can’t imagine him being there.
“I don’t think the Euros has done him any harm, the Euros has probably saved his agent from putting his hand in his own pocket, somebody will still put up the money for him.”
