Whilst the Liverpool defender continues to be linked with Los Blancos, Football Insider revealed that Real Madrid are also interested in Saliba.
However, former chief scout Mick Brown revealed that Arsenal are preparing to offer Saliba a lucrative new contract to secure his long-term future at the Emirates amid growing interest from Europe.
Saliba’s contract situation differs slightly to Konate’s. The 24-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal, while Madrid have already strengthened their defence with the signing of Dean Huijsen, potentially easing fears over Saliba’s immediate future.
