London-based journalist gives detailed lowdown on Rangers signing
Rangers have completed the signing of QPR defender Sean Goss on a loan deal until the end of the season, and a London-based journalist has given a detailed lowdown on what the Ibrox faithful can expect from him.
Goss was previously at Manchester United, but never made an appearance for the first-team before joining QPR in January 2017 for £500,000.
The 22-year-old, who can play in midfield or defence, has only played six times for the Championship, and has move to Rangers to get some playing time and show QPR manager Ian Holloway that he is worthy of giving a chance to.
Phil Spencer, the QPR correspondent for Get West London, gave his opinion on the player on his personal Twitter account.
“As for Sean Goss, he’s technically a quality player but needs first team football. Rangers looks like an ideal move to challenge himself as he’s better than League One and League Two. Fingers crossed he has a good six months and shows Ollie what he can do!”
Goss becomes the Light Blues’ first signing made by manager Graeme Murty and director of football Mark Allen in the January transfer window
As he can play as both a defender and midfielder he will be cover for the likes of Ryan Jack and Bruno Alves, who are currently out injured.
Goss will join his new team-mates in Florida, where they set to face Atletico Mineiro and Corinthians in the Florida Cup, before they return to domestic duties with a Scottish Cup tie against non-league Fraserburgh on the 21st of January.
