If 21-year-old can't get into Celtic starting XI v Hearts, he never will
Celtic face Hearts at Tynecastle on Sunday, and it is expected that Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers will make numerous changes now that the league title has been clinched.
That means there could be starts for the likes of Patrick Roberts and Scott Bain, and one player whose future has been the subject of plenty of speculation – Charly Musonda.
The 21-year-old’s loan move from Chelsea to Glasgow hasn’t worked like anyone has hoped, as he has started very few games and has spent most weeks either as an unused sub or not even in the matchday squad.
Rodgers has even admitted, as reported by the Daily Record, that Chelsea aren’t to happy about the situation and the deal may be terminated 12 months early, at the end of the season.
The game at Tynecastle is meaningless in the grand scheme of things, which is why the Hoops will be making changes, and if Musonda is unable to get into the side for the match, then he never will.

Of course every transfer is a gamble, but Musonda must be really disappointing if he isn’t featuring after all the hype he received when he signed for the Bhoys.
The trip to Tynecastle looks to be make or break one way or the other when it comes to Musonda’ Hoops career, and if he isn’t involved at any stage of the game, he should return to London at the end of the season, it would be best for all.
