‘I’m sorry’ – Jacob Ramsey apologises to Aston Villa teammate in new message
Aston Villa are braced for offers as several of their Premier League rivals weigh up a move for the in-demand Jacob Ramsey.
Villa‘s failure to qualify for the Champions League by the finest of margins could have huge ramifications this summer, after Newcastle pipped them to fifth place in the Premier League on goal difference.
Unai Emery‘s side have already been on the receiving end of a fine for breaching UEFA’s financial regulations, and Football Insider revealed that Villa could now be forced to sell two players as a result.
Ramsey is in high demand as both Everton and Villa’s Europa League rivals Nottingham Forest line up a move for the 24-year-old this summer, but the Lions will do all they can to maximise his transfer value.

Mings and Ramsey clash in Aston Villa training – ‘sorry bro’
Football Insider revealed on 18 July that a figure of £50million could be enough for Nottingham Forest to tempt Aston Villa into selling Ramsey this summer, but Emery will hope to secure an even greater fee.
A decision beckons at Villa Park over Ramsey’s future as they weigh up the prospect of selling a product of their academy, which would be unpopular with Villans fans despite their precarious PSR position.
Ramsey remains a key pillar of Emery’s dressing room and has been heavily involved in their pre-season preparations, scoring in their 3-1 loss to Hansa Rostock on 19 July in the third of nine friendly matches.
Training at Bodymoor Heath continues before Villa jet out to the USA, and after Ramsey caught Tyrone Mings late in an open field session, he posted on his Instagram story (22 July) to say; “sorry bro”.

Aston Villa braced for Ramsey exit with new bids on the way
Football Insider Verdict
Ramsey is far from the only key Villans player attracting the eye of Premier League clubs, and Morgan Rogers has been linked with moves to both Chelsea and Manchester City in excess of £100million.
Man United are also still in the hunt for Emi Martinez this summer despite Andre Onana’s injury making any such deal difficult to complete, as Villa prepare to weather a storm of offers for their star players.
Ramsey’s sale would make the most sense from a PSR perspective as a ‘pure profit’ academy player, but Villa fans accepting this as part-and-parcel of the modern game would be much easier said than done.
