BT Sport pundit Chris Sutton has expressed his shock at the lack of game time for Celtic loan signing Charly Musonda.
The 21-year-old attacker arrived at the Hoops in January in an 18 month loan deal from Chelsea, but has only started three games for the Bhoys since arriving in Glasgow, and he hasn’t even got off the bench in the Hoops’ last three matches.
As quoted on the BT Sport football Twitter account, former Hoops striker Sutton delivered his verdict on the much-hyped player.
“In a short space of time he’s gone from the star signing to not getting a game, I’m surprised” he said.

Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers gave fans big expectations about Musonda by claiming, as reported by the Scotsman, that Real Madrid had tried to sign the player.
Musonda will seemingly have a chance to be involved in the Hoops’ next three games, which are all against teams at the wrong end of the table, beginning with Saturday’s clash against bottom of the league Ross County.
Football Insider verdict
There isn’t any need for alarm yet about the Hoops future of Charly Musonda, as he will still be at the club next season, and perhaps manager Brendan Rodgers is taking that into account with his lack of game time. It is slightly surprising that he hasn’t been involved in more first-team games, but perhaps the Hoops boss wanted to go with the men who have done it before against the likes of Rangers and Aberdeen. Hoops fans might not see the best of the Belgian until next season, but for the rest of this season he still has a role to play as the Bhoys aim to clinch their second successive domestic treble.
