Ings will 'have a field day' v Tottenham after early team news pre-Aston Villa - pundit
Frank McAvennie predicts Danny Ings will have a field day when Aston Villa take on Tottenham tomorrow.
The former Villains hitman, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, doesn’t rate Spurs’ chances of keeping a clean sheet.
Tottenham have conceded nine goals in their last three Premier League games and also failed to keep a clean sheet against minnows NS Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
Ings, 29, has scored twice for Villa since he signed for the club in the summer.
His transfer came almost out of nowhere and took Villa fans by surprise as he left the South coast with less than a year left on his Saints deal.
However, he hasn’t scored since bagging two goals in his first two games as a Villain.

McAvennie insists the striker could run riot against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side as they continue to struggle at the back.
“Danny Ings could have a field day,” McAvennie told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Of course, him and Ollie Watkins are one hell of a partnership. Watkins does so well coming deep while Ings causes problems.
“If Tottenham defend like they have done recently then they are in trouble. They are just awful.
“I think Villa go in as favourites, they will fancy themselves and Ings will fancy a couple of goals.”
Ings scored 46 goals in 100 games for the Saints after joining the club from Liverpool initially on loan.
He also has three England caps and one international goal to his name.
