Victor Wanyama has lauded his “fantastic” Tottenham teammates on Twitter after their 4-0 win against Watford on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old ace was injured during the pre-match build-up to the game and was subsequently replaced by academy product Josh Onomah.
Despite his absence, Spurs managed to record a comfortable, yet crucial three points as they kept their hopes of lifting the Premier League title alive.
Attacking midfielder Dele Alli got the ball rolling during the early kick-off of the weekend, scoring a sublime curling effort from outside the box.
Eric Dier then fired home moments later before versatile attacker Son Heung-Min netted a brace on either side of the break to seal all three points.

Premier League leaders Chelsea have still maintained their seven-point gap on the title chasers when they saw off the threat of Bournemouth on Saturday evening.
Adam Smith’s own goal opened the scoring for Antonio Conte’s side in the first half before Eden Hazard added a second three minutes later.
Josh King did pull one back for the hosts but a magnificent Marcus Alonso free-kick ensured Chelsea maintained their lead at the top of the table.
Nonetheless, Spurs will be looking to pile on the pressure once again next weekend when they host the Cherries in an early kick-off on Saturday afternoon.
Chelsea will then travel to Old Trafford on Sunday, where they will take on Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, who are chasing Champions League football.
