Injury expert hails 'huge' work from Liverpool duo after 'great news' on Elliott
Liverpool medical duo Chris Morgan and Dr Jim Moxon played a “huge” role in preventing any “complications” in Harvey Elliott’s recovery from injury.
That is the view of injury expert Ben Dinnery, who runs the Premier Injuries website and has a background in medicine and data analysis.
As reported by The Athletic on Monday (6 December), Elliott could be back in team training in January, with a view to having him back for the final three months of the season.
It is reported Morgan and Moxon’s swift actions when the youngster suffered the injury back in September limited the damage.
Dinnery applauded the duo and insisted they were crucial to Elliott making a swift recovery from such a “serious injury”.
Dinnery told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “When his injury first happened, particularly when the cameras were there and it’s slowed down, it was a very serious injury.

“But you have to look at the response of their medical team, Chris Morgan and Jim Moxon.
“Their response, going out there on the pitch and diagnosing that dislocated ankle, doing the necessaries to stabilise that injury.
“Those are problems that are easily complicated. They can cause issues down the line.
“Their fast response into that on-field treatment is huge, in this.
“You look at the individual, you look at the department and the care and the injury itself. It’s great news.”
Elliott is back running on the grass at Liverpool’s Kirkby training ground.
However, Jurgen Klopp has been reluctant to put a return date on the youngster.
