Tomas Rosicky has returned to full training and is in contention to make the Arsenal squad for Wednesday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.
The Czech international has been sidelined all season with a knee injury and has not played for the Gunners since last May.
But Rosicky was pictured taking part in training on Tuesday morning and could now be named in the squad that travels to Liverpool later in the day.
Speaking at his media conference on Monday, Wenger was delighted that the veteran attacking midfielder, 35, would finally be available for selection.
“He will be back in full training this week, it is fantastic because he has been out for very long and it is good to know that a player of that calibre is back in our squad,” said the manager.
Rosicky, who joined Arsenal in January 2006 from Borussia Dortmund, is out of contract in the summer.
