Insider: Alli and Lo Celso could be on way out of Tottenham after Conte decision

Fabio Paratici’s transfer plans could be revealed when Tottenham face Morecambe in the FA Cup.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Tottenham face Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday (9 January).

Antonio Conte could shuffle the pack and give some of his fringe players a chance to impress.

Wenham claims it will be easy to see who is going and who is staying at Tottenham this month based on Conte’s matchday squad.

“I think the Morecambe game will provide a lot of clarity on this,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“If players who aren’t featuring in the league or who haven’t featured much under Conte but still made the bench, if they don’t play it will tell us a lot about where they are going.

“Tottenham may want to make sure those players aren’t cup-tied if another club comes in for them.

“I think that’s a very interesting angle. I’m looking at players like Dele Alli and Lo Celso, who could be going permanently.

“That could also go for some of the younger players, though them being cup-tied isn’t too much of an issue at this stage in the season.

“I think we will know a lot more about the club’s transfer plans after Sunday.”

Wenham told this site on 14 December that six Spurs youth players could be drafted in to face Morecambe.

Dilan Markanday, Harvey White and Alfie Devine were just some of the players tipped to play a role.

In other news, a Tottenham insider has revealed Spurs could make a “fortune” after an “amazing” development.
