Insider: Bergwijn ‘expected’ to complete Tottenham exit for ‘decent money’ after teammate ‘reinvented’
Tottenham fans can expect Steven Bergwijn to leave the club on a permanent basis in January.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
According to ESPN (`10 December), Antonio Conte does not see Bergwijn, 24, as part of his plans and could sanction a January exit.

On 29 November, Dutch outlet De Telegraff claimed Spurs are set to receive an enquiry for Bergwijn from the Dutch giants in January.
Wenham expects the attacker will not be moulded into a number 10 like Lucas Moura and predicts he will be sold next month.
“If we could get rid of Bergwijn in the early weeks of the window, that would be a great move,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Under Conte, we have ditched the use of conventional wingers. That makes Bergwijn very limited. He’s a bit lost in that squad.
“Lucas has been reinvented as a number 10 and maybe Bryan Gil will also follow that road under Conte.
“I think Bergwijn is the one to move on and I’m hoping we can do a deal with Ajax.
“I also hope we hold out for some decent money from Ajax, we know they have it.
“They shelled out decent money for Haller from West Ham and they are regulars in the Champions League.
“But from looking at what is being said in the press and looking at Conte’s use of players, I think Bergwijn is one we can expect to see moved on in January.”

Bergwijn has made eleven appearances for Spurs this season.
He is yet to find the back of the net but has registered one assist.
In other news, an insider has named six Tottenham youngsters set for first XI selection after a ‘brilliant’ development.
