Insider: Conte has 'taken instant liking' to Skipp and he's soared above three Tottenham big names
Oliver Skipp sits ahead of several high-profile stars in the Tottenham pecking order after impressing Antonio Conte.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
The midfielder missed his side’s previous Premier League game against Leeds through suspension after an accumulation of yellow cards.
Wenham was delighted to see Skipp come back in ahead of the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli.
“I feel totally vindicated in this,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“Skipp was our only good player against Mura and he was going to come straight back in against Burnley.
“He was suspended for the Leeds game and I think we really missed him.
“Yet another manager who wants to put Skipp ahead of some high profile names.
“I’m talking about Ndombele, Lo Celso and Alli. Skipp is ahead of all of them in the pecking order.
“Conte has taken an instant liking to Skipp which I am delighted about.
“To come straight back in ahead of those players as a young man, it speaks volumes to me.”
Skipp has made 17 appearances for Tottenham this season, only missing four games in all competitions.
He has started nine Premier League games from a possible 11 so far.
