Insider expects ‘movement’ in Tottenham bid for Kessie after source’s ‘unprecedented’ claim
Franck Kessie is one realistic signing Tottenham could pull off during what could prove to be an “unprecedented” January.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 2 November, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Tottenham were in “advanced talks” to sign the 24-year-old AC Milan lynchpin.

However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, speaking on The Last Word On Spurs podcast (5 November), insisted the midfielder’s future is still up in the air.
On 6 December, a club source told Football Insider Tottenham are laying the groundwork for an unprecedented January transfer spree.
Wenham has named Kessie as one star Tottenham could bring to North London in January.
“I think we could hear some movement on the Kessie deal,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I can see us agreeing a pre-contract deal then maybe offering AC Milan a small fee to take him straight away.
“That would probably appeal to them because they would at least get something out of the deal.
“We need players in now so it would surprise me if we only signed Kessie for him to come at the end of the season.
“That’s one I can see happening and I have spoken about it before.
“I am willing to trust Paratici and Conte on these things so if he did come in it would be exciting.”

Kessie has made 18 appearances for AC Milan this season.
He has scored three goals and contributed one assist.
