Insider fumes at three 'woeful' Tottenham big names who 'think they're better than they are'

Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovanni Lo Celso think they are better than they are and are “hurting” Tottenham.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Alli, 25, and Ndombele, 24, both started as Tottenham were humiliated by Mura in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

Spurs’ second-string side lost 2-1 in Slovenia and several players were slaughtered on social media for their roles.

Wenham claims he is “sick” of the same players not performing when given a chance.

“Time and time again, there are several players not doing it,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“They think they are better than they are. They are given chances in these games against poor sides.

“For those sides, it’s their biggest game of the season, they are well up for it.

“Every second ball is won by them and these players aren’t even going through the motions. It’s hurting us and the performances.

“All of that was plain to see on Thursday night. When we were in the Champions League we went away to Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus and went undefeated.

“How does that compare, with a similar group of players, going to Rennes, Pacos, Vitesse and Mura, and only getting one point?

“It doesn’t add up. The only thing to blame is the players who aren’t up for it. It’s woeful to be perfectly honest.

“They have no interest, it’s the same names, Ndombele, Lo Celso, Alli. I’m sick of it.”
