Insider names Conte's expected first Tottenham XI after source update from Hotspur Way
Antonio Conte will name a second-string side when Tottenham face Vitesse Arnhem on Thursday.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Conte, 52, was confirmed as the new Tottenham boss on Tuesday and has taken training ahead of his first game.
Spurs welcome Vitesse to North London after losing 1-0 to the side in their last Europa Conference League game.
On Wednesday (3 November) a Tottenham source told Football Insider the Spurs squad are “loving” working with Conte, who marked his opening training session with an 11 v 11 match in which both teams lined up in a 3-5-2 formation
Wenham claims Conte won’t name his strongest side against Vitesse ahead of a tricky trip to Goodison Park at the weekend.

“I don’t think that lineup is hard to predict at all,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think the same players who started against Vitesse last time will do the job on Thursday.
“I don’t think Vitesse are good if I’m being honest with you. In the last game, our players didn’t turn up.
“At home, under a new manager, that won’t be allowed to happen. The players will want to perform and I expect us to be affected by that so-called new manager bounce.
“Whoever plays should be able to get the job done and get the job done comfortably.
“I can tell you this, I don’t rate Vitesse at all as a footballing side.
“I think the line-up will be something like Gollini in goal with a defence of Tanganga, Rodon, Sanchez and Davies.
“After that, it’s anyone’s guess really though Gil won’t be there as he’s injured.
“A new manager may play a whole new system as well, we just don’t know but I certainly wouldn’t expect our strongest side to play.”
