Arsene Wenger has made two changes to the team that thrashed Lincoln 5-0 in the FA Cup last weekend, with Danny Welbeck and Nacho Monreal replacing Olivier Giroud and Kieran Gibbs.
Eyebrows were raised among fans at the omission of popular attacker Perez from the squad, with two centre-backs – Per Mertesacker and Gabriel – and two holding midfielders – Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin – on the substitute’s bench.
But Twitter account AFCAMDEN, which has a strong track record of breaking Arsenal news, and had correctly reported an hour before the team announcement that Mesut Ozil would miss out due to injury, explained in response to a follower on Saturday morning that Perez was suffered from an “upper leg injury”.

Perez has made 22 appearances, made of which have been as a substitute, and has scored an impressive eight goals as well as supplied six assists.
