Insider tells fans to get behind 'Tottenham mad' Donley after development

Tottenham fans have been told to get behind “Spurs mad” starlet Jamie Donley after impressing on the international stage.

That comes from Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Donley, 16, is in sensational goalscoring form for both Tottenham and his international sides, bagging 10 in his last 10.

This came after The Guardian named Donley as Tottenham’s best first-year scholar in their annual list of top young talents.

Donley has not yet made his mind up over his international allegiance and currently alternates between England and Northern Ireland.

Wenham has hailed that report as “bang on” on predicted a swift rise through the ranks for the young attacker.

That report was bang on,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“This time he’s gone away with England and he’s got himself another goal off the bench.

“That’s now 10 goals in 10 games for Tottenham and his national sides.

“He guarantees you a goal every time he plays. There was a Tottenham v Stoke Under 18 match a few weeks ago.

“We won that 1-0, so without him, it would have been 0-0. I know that’s obvious to say but it’s true.

“He’s progressing really well and I don’t think it will be too long before we see him advancing through the age groups.

“I know he’s trained with the first team.

There is one thing I want to make clear, he comes from a family of mad Tottenham fans.

“I really want to see our fans get behind him because it’s always great to see a young fan develop at the club.”

In other news, an insider has backed two Tottenham players to leave the club in January after a major development.
