Insider: Tottenham have suffered 'indescribable blow' after Son update

Tottenham have suffered an “indescribable blow” amid the latest on Heung-Min Son’s injury.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Speaking on Tuesday (11 January), quoted by, Antonio Conte admitted Son‘s “strange” injury will rule him out until after the next international break.

This means Spurs will be without one of their star men until early February.

The 29-year-old will miss two games against Chelsea, an away trip to Leicester and a North London Derby before returning.

Wenham fears the goals may dry up for Tottenham in these vital games.

“Son being out, this is an indescribable blow,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“The fact is we can’t replace him. Kane is struggling to get on the ball as it is.

“Now I worry about our goalscoring threat if you then take away our most creative player.

“We have no one to come in and replace him and we haven’t signed anyone to replace him.

“We have a massive month ahead, even if we go out of the League Cup we have three massive league games.

“I can only hope he comes back sooner than expected but Conte has been pretty upfront about return dates since he arrived at the club.

“I’m gutted. Hopefully another player steps up but it’s hard to see who that will be.”

Son has scored nine goals in 25 appearances this season.

He has also chipped in with five assists.
