Insider: Tottenham hit by 'completely unacceptable' blow fans haven't spotted
Burnley have been labelled “amateurish” after they failed to make sure their game against Tottenham on Sunday could go ahead.
Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels, called the club’s actions “completely unacceptable”.
Tottenham confirmed their Premier League clash with Burnley was postponed with 45 minutes to go before kick-off.
As of yet, a new date for the fixture has not been confirmed.
Wenham can’t believe an established Premier League side didn’t have a contingency plan when heavy snow was forecast in the days before the game.
“I thought it was amateurish, to be honest,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“This is an established Premier League club we are talking about and they couldn’t get that game on.
“It’s quite poor if you ask me. Tottenham had already posted their team news when the postponement came through.
“It was very much last minute, it was a long way to go for the fans to then turn around for nothing.
“Look at Manchester City, they aren’t too far away from Burnley and they managed to get their game on.
“I find the excuses ridiculous frankly. Are you telling me Burnley don’t have the facilities or a contingency plan to get that game on?
“For me, it’s completely unacceptable. That’s another game to play in an already busy month, it’s a blow.
“Some people may not have realised that at the time.”
Tottenham are next in action against Brentford on Thursday.
After the postponement of the Burnley match, Spurs sit seventh in the league.
