Insider: Tottenham starlet Levinier ‘close’ to joining Charlton Athletic
Tottenham youngster Marcel Lavinier could join Charlton Athletic on loan before the transfer window closes.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Lavinier, 21, has made 12 appearances for Spurs Under 23s in the Premier League 2 this season.

The defender joined Spurs’ development squad in October 2020, following a trial period and he has been playing on both flanks.
He joined Chelsea aged seven and spent 12 years in their academy.
Wenham claims Lavinier is one of several young players who could leave on loan before next week’s deadline.
“There are plenty of players who could leave Tottenham on loan over the next week,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I was told by someone in the know that Levinier was close to a loan move to Charlton but seems to have gone quiet over the last few days.
“These things are always fluid. Lower league teams always have several players ready to fill one gap.
“If Tottenham do want to loan these players out then I expect they will go.
“Maybe in the last days of the window, we always see loan deal sanctioned on deadline day.
“In those cases, I just hope it’s the right deal and the right club for the player.
“There are loads of options for these players so I would expect a few to go this week.”

Lavinier is capped by England at Under 15, 16 and17 levels, before featuring for Portugal Under 18s due to his dual nationality.
He has also featured twice in the EFL Trophy this season.
In other news, Tottenham have been tipped to complete four new signings this weeks after a transfer update from Alasdair Gold.
