Insider: Tottenham starlet White expected to start on Sunday and then complete ‘pre-arranged’ transfer
Harvey White is in line to start when Tottenham face Morecambe in the FA Cup this weekend.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
White, 20, has impressed in the Premier League 2 this season, scoring five goals and chipping in with six assists in 14 games.
He has also been regularly training with the first team and featured on the bench when Spurs played Southampton on 28 December.
Tottenham face Morecambe in the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday (9 January) and Wenham predicts White will be given a chance to impress.
“I do think Harvey White will start this game,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has been in and around the first-team squad for a while now and he was on the bench in the recent game against Southampton.
“He’s one of a few players who have been training with the senior squad regularly over the last few weeks.
“Antonio Conte has had a good look at him and he’s still around, so clearly Conte has seen something.
“His numbers in the 23s have been really impressive as well so I think it’s only fair he is handed a chance to impress against Morecambe.
“As I’ve said before, I expect him to then go out on loan because he needs to take that next step in his development.
“Again, I hope a deal has been pre-arranged so he can go straight away”.

White does have two senior Tottenham appearances to his name.
One of these was in last season’s FA Cup third round clash against Marine.
In other news, Fabio Paratici is calling ‘every day’ as Tottenham work on closing a marquee signing.
