Ipswich troll Tottenham ace James Maddison after surprise twist
Tottenham star James Maddison was on the receiving end of a cheek social media jab from Ipswich after their shock 2-1 defeat on Sunday (November 10).
Maddison, 27, came on for the last few minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium but was unable to make any real impact with his side 2-1 down.
First-half goals from Sammy Szmodics and Liam Delap were enough to secure the newly promoted side a shock first win of the season.
Rodrigo Bentancur scored just after the hour mark to make it tense for Kieran McKenna’s side but it was too little too late as pressure builds on Ange Postecoglu.

The attacking midfielder has started just one of Spurs’ last four games across all competitions, their 3-2 Europa League defeat to Galatasaray on matchday four.
Things have gone from bad to worse for Maddison, as Ipswich’s X account trolled him by sharing an image of him pulling Omari Hutchinson’s shirt, along with a link to their online store.

The international break has come at the perfect time for Spurs and Postecoglu, they’ll be able to rest ahead of a pivotal Premier League clash with Man City, who they knocked out of the League Cup earlier in the season.
Sitting in 10th with 16 points from their opening 11 league games, results will have to improve if they have any hope of qualifying for European football come the end of the season.
