‘It was coming’ – Simon Jordan outlines likely Chelsea punishment for breaching FA regulations
Chelsea are set to face financial repercussions for 74 breaches of FA agent regulations, according to Simon Jordan.
Enzo Maresca is vying to earn three straight wins in the Premier League, after Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0 last time out.
The Blues are vying to put themselves in top-flight title contention, having won both the Conference League and the Club World Cup last term.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Jackson joined Bayern Munich, as Maresca utilised the summer transfer window to reshuffle his forward line.

Chelsea set for monetary punishment amid FA charges
Amid Maresca’s fresh bid for success, Chelsea signed Alejandro Garnacho from Manchester United.
Meanwhile, the West London club will hope that the added scrutiny from their fresh charges from the FA will not distract their on-field matters.
On Thursday, 11 September, an FA statement read: “The Football Association has today charged Chelsea FC with breaches of Regulations J1 and C2 of The FA Football Agents Regulations, Regulations A2 and A3 of The FA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries, and Regulations A1 and B3 of The FA Third Party Investment in Players Regulations.
“In total, 74 charges have been brought against Chelsea FC. The conduct that is the subject of the charges ranges from 2009 to 2022 and primarily relates to events which occurred between the 2010/11 to 2015/16 playing seasons.
“Chelsea FC has until 19 September 2025 to respond.”
Speaking live on talkSPORT on 11 September, Simon Jordan said: “It was coming wasn’t it? They’re not alleged.
“They declared them themselves. Todd Boehly volunteered that information, so they’ve pretty much detailed it themselves, which they will have clout in their favour, in terms of the consequences that they will get for those actions.
“Because obviously you’re visiting the sins of a father of an unwilling son because you’ve obviously got different ownership now.
“But the football club exits in perpetuity, so it will be consequenced as a result of those transgressions.
“But there’ll be mitigation because they’re not defending it, they’re the ones that brought it to their attention, and they’re not pushing back against it so, what will the consequences be?
“I would assume financial.”
Enzo Maresca must maintain his side’s strong form
Maresca’s transfer activity saw Noni Madueke leave Chelsea in favour of Arsenal, before going on to shine for England in the international break.

However, the Stamford Bridge outfit made several positive additions, including former Brighton striker Joao Pedro and ex-Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.
Meanwhile, Maresca’s summer additions have made a positive impact, as the West Londoners have enjoyed consecutive wins over West Ham United and Fulham.
The Blues are set for another London derby on Saturday, 13 September, when they face Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Keith Andrews’ men will be determined to bounce back from last month’s 2-1 defeat to newly promoted Sunderland, whereas Chelsea are eager to maintain their strong form.
Maresca must ensure that his side continue winning, as they look to put pressure on defending Premier League champions Liverpool, who are the only top-flight side with a 100 per cent winning record.
The Anfield club will fancy their chances of enjoying another victory when they face Scott Parker’s Burnley on Sunday, 14 September.
