‘It’s a big issue for Man United’ – Barcelona could now agree cut-price Marcus Rashford deal
Barcelona are already considering their plans to sign Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal from Manchester United.
Rashford joined Barcelona on a season-long deal from Man United in the summer transfer window after Ruben Amorim made it clear he wasn’t in his plans.
The Spanish giants hold the option to buy Rashford for around £30million next summer.
However, The Daily Star reported on 22 September Barcelona now want to sign the 27-year-old for a lower price of around £26m.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider it’s a “big issue” for Man United because they don’t have control of the situation.

Marcus Rashford has boxed Man United in after transfer latest
It is understood Rashford making the permanent move to Barcelona could depend on the future of Robert Lewandowski.
The 37-year-old’s contract with the La Liga club is due to expire in June 2026.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Rashford’s situation, Borson said: “The player is going to end up boxing Manchester United in.
“I think it’s clear that United obviously want to sell the player. I mean, you just loaned him out. Where are we going to get to next summer?
“Whatever he does, whether he plays well or whether he’s mediocre, whether he’s patchy, you get to next summer and there’s one bidder on the table and the player says he only wants to go to Barcelona.
“Well, in that scenario, they may well get him for £25m.”

Man United are saving around £20m in wages after loaning Rashford out for the campaign, with the forward’s £325,000-a-week deal running until June 2028 at Old Trafford.
Marcus Rashford’s Man United career is over
Amorim’s side could be forced back to the negotiating table for Rashford next summer if Barcelona look to pay a lower fee.
Borson said: “It’s a big issue for Manchester United because it is very hard to see where the upside is.
“You’re not going to bring him back unless there’s a change of manager and he’s very keen, which must be unlikely. Not so much the first bit, but the second bit.
“So, he’s not coming back, and he’s almost certain to say he wants to go to Barcelona if Barcelona want to sign him, so you’re negotiating against yourself.”

Rashford impressed in Barcelona’s recent win over Newcastle United in the Champions League, where he scored both their goals in the 2-1 victory at St James’ Park.
The England international has registered two goals and four assists for Hansi Flick’s side this season.
