‘It’s a pleasure’ – Darwin Nunez reacts to Luis Diaz’s heartfelt message after transfer agreed
Liverpool players including Darwin Nunez responded to Luis Diaz’s message to Bayern Munich fans following the confirmation of his move to Germany.
Diaz completed his switch to the Bundesliga champions this week, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-year spell at Anfield.
The 28-year-old leaves behind a successful stint on Merseyside, having lifted the Premier League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup twice.
But after contract talks with Liverpool stalled, Diaz was open for a move away from Liverpool and has now joined Bayern in a deal worth £65.5 million.
Now, following the announcement, former teammates including Nunez shared a response to the Colombian’s newest message on social media.

Darwin Nunez shares emotional response as Luis Diaz begins Bayern Munich journey
Liverpool stars including Cody Gakpo sent farewell messages to Diaz following his official departure, but the Colombian has now addressed his new fanbase with a heartfelt message.
He posted on Instagram: “It’s a pleasure” after joining Bayern Munich, and added that “there’s still much to do” as he sets his sights on achieving his ambitions in Germany.
Current and former Liverpool players responded to the post, with Nunez among those who liked the message, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold, who completed a move to Real Madrid earlier in the window.
Nunez also shared a touching comment beneath the post, writing: “Good luck in this new stage little brother, I’m going to miss you Luchito.”
Since arriving from FC Porto, Diaz established himself as a key figure under both Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists in 148 appearances for the club.
However, some sections of the Liverpool fanbase had called for Diaz’s departure after reports emerged that he was exploring a move away and now, that speculation has become reality.
Liverpool could sanction cut-price Darwin Nunez exit

While Nunez shared his support for Diaz’s new chapter, his own future at Anfield remains unclear.
Football Insider revealed Liverpool are open to parting ways with Nunez, with clubs from the Saudi Pro League showing increasing interest after an initial approach in January.
However, no formal bids have yet been submitted, and it’s believed Liverpool could accept a cut-price offer for Nunez as part of a wider attacking reshuffle under Slot.
