‘It’s Man United we are talking about’ – Expert shares verdict on Michael Olise transfer update
Crystal Palace sensation Michael Olise “does not want” to join Man United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former West Ham and Celtic striker Frank McAvennie admitted he does not feel the 22-year-old is a “top player” but warned against a move to Old Trafford.
The France under-21 international has been a standout at Selhurst Park since his move in 2021 and has bagged five goals and one assist in just nine Premier League appearances this season.

He has been widely linked to a number of top-level Premier League clubs including the Red Devils.
As revealed by Football Insider (5 January), he is also being closely watched by Liverpool, Chelsea and Man City and is expected to fetch a mega-money fee if he is sold by Palace.
McAvennie claimed Olise, and most other players, have been put off by a move to Old Trafford and should stay at the south London outfit.
“He’s better staying at Palace,” he told Football Insider.
“Players do not want to go to Man United, and neither will he.
“No disrespect to Olise, but he’s not a top player. Not yet.
“They’re just trying to pick everyone in world football at the moment.
“Players go there and get lost, and this boy at Crystal Palace won’t want to go there.
“It’s a strange place. It’s Man United we’re talking about, one of the biggest clubs in the world, and we’re talking about people not wanting to go.

“They have to get to the root and get rid of all the players who aren’t interested.
“But for Olise, he’d be better off somewhere else.”
