‘It’s not good news’ for Tottenham amid postponement reveal in last 24 hours – pundit
The Tottenham players will not like having fixtures in hand over the rest of the Premier League, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker admitted knowing exactly what Spurs need to break into the top six could work in their advantage.
Tottenham already have two games in hand over the majority of the rest of the Premier League after their game with Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend was postponed due to a coronavirus outbreak at the club.

They also had their final Europa Conference League group game with Rennes postponed as a result.
As quoted by football.london ahead of the game with Leicester City today (15 December), Antonio Conte revealed they also tried to get that game postponed.
“Oh no, it’s not a good thing,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Games in hand still have to be played and there will be double game weeks when other teams do not have two games to play.
“It’s not always a good thing. The only good thing about is that when the games are played they know what they need to break into the top six.
“There are good and bad reasons but generally, you don’t like having games in hand.”

No rescheduled date has yet been sent for Tottenham’s games with Burnley and Brighton & Hove Albion.
As quoted by Leicestershire Live today (15 December), Brendan Rodgers revealed he wanted his side’s game with Spurs postponed as his squad have been hit with a covid outbreak.
In other news, an insider has named six Tottenham youngsters set for first XI selection after a ‘brilliant’ development.
