‘It’s sad’ – What Thomas Tuchel just said will really anger England fans after Wales win
England made it eight successive victories over Wales with a resounding 3-0 win at Wembley Stadium.
The Three Lions surged into a three-goal lead in the first half as Bukayo Saka’s beautiful finish against Wales complemented strikes from Morgan Rogers and Ollie Watkins.
Thomas Tuchel’s men looked imperious in the opening 45 minutes, but naturally took their foot off the gas in the second period after wowing the crowd with some excellent play.
Tuchel was praised for his body language against the Welsh and for setting a high standard, something he demanded from the home crowd.

Thomas Tuchel calls out England’s support against Wales
England have played out some classic games against Wales in the past, including the thriller in Euro 2016, where Daniel Sturridge scored a dramatic late winner.
On Thursday night, however, the gulf in class between the two sides quickly showed, as the visitors were unable to live with Tuchel’s superstars.
Surprisingly, the German manager had a lot to say at full-time about the lack of noise from the home crowd, claiming ‘the team deserved more support’.
“The stadium was silent. We didn’t get any energy back from the stands. We did everything to win,” Tuchel told ITV at full-time.
When asked about whether he wanted expected more from the fans, Tuchel replied: “Yes. What more can you give in 20 minutes? We didn’t let them escape. If you hear just Wales fans for half an hour, it’s sad because the team deserved more support today.”
Clearly, the former Chelsea boss wanted more from the England fans, but as it was only a friendly, surely he can forgive them.

Tuchel shares Morgan Rogers verdict
Although he was critical of the support, Tuchel was impressed with the performance of Rogers, who scored his first England goal.
Rogers has endured a tough start to the season at Aston Villa, but the 23-year-old produced an eye-catching performance in the number 10 position in the absence of Jude Bellingham.
“He is what he is. He is a number 10 and he is competing for his place. He is in a good way,” Tuchel said.
“We are ready for any team effort. Serbia was the next example of teamwork. We created a lot of chances. We could use Harry all the time, but we need to play without Harry and Jude – the guys are injured. I think we played an excellent first half.”
England boast an embarrassment of riches in attack, as even without Bellingham and Harry Kane, they were able to tear through the Welsh.
