‘I’ve got some bad news for Jadon Sancho’ – Man United insider drops bombshell

Juventus are the latest club to express an interest in signing Jadon Sancho from Man United, according to their former chief scout.

Mick Brown, who worked at Old Trafford for over a decade during the club’s most successful period and remains very well-connected there, exclusively told Football Insider that a number of clubs have approached United about the 25-year-old’s situation.

However, his wage demands are once again expected to cause issues and he is now being forced to consider taking a “massive” cut to push through a move.

This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 10 June that Sancho’s most likely destination is Saudi Arabia as clubs in Europe will struggle to meet his wage demands.

Chelsea were unable to reach a contract agreement with Sancho to make his loan spell permanent after disagreeing over his £300,000 weekly wage packet.

However, it has been explained that the longer the transfer window drags on without any indication that a deal can be agreed, the winger will grow more open to a pay cut.

Juventus join race to sign Man United star Jadon Sancho

Brown told Football Insider on 17 June that Aston Villa are interested in signing Sancho, but would favour a loan move similar to their deal for Marcus Rashford.

The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment and also worked for the likes of Aston Villa, Tottenham and West Ham, insisted the winger’s future will be decided by whether he is willing to adjust his demands.

Juventus are the ones having a look at Sancho now,” he told Football Insider.

“I don’t think there’s a shortage of interest because there are clubs in the Premier League and in Europe who value his qualities and what he could bring to them.

“Clubs have been in contact with Man United because it’s a deal they want to do as well.

“From his point of view, he needs to find somewhere he can settle and get on with his game.

“But if he thinks anybody is going to pay him £300,000 per week, I’ve got some bad news for him.

“He’s going to have to take a massive hit on the wages he’s on at Man United, and the longer the window goes on, the clearer that is going to become.

“I think it’ll happen eventually, because it’s in his best interests to move on permanently.

“A move to Italy, whether it be with Juventus or somebody else, would be ideal if it can be agreed.

“Once again though, it will come down to whether he’s willing to budge on his wage demands, and I think that will happen later in the window.”

Alejandro Garnacho update emerges amid Spurs interest

Sancho is not the only winger being pushed out of Old Trafford this summer amid ongoing speculation surrounding the future of Alejandro Garnacho.

Brown told Football Insider on 23 June that Tottenham are preparing a move for Garnacho and are prepared to rival the likes of Chelsea for his signature.

The deal is seen as a positive one for all three parties as United want to sell, Tottenham want to strengthen out wide, and he wants to stay in England.

This comes after Brown told Football Insider on 22 June that Garnacho wants to stay in the Premier League and has told his agent of his desire ahead of the transfer window.
