Jack Butland expected to quit Rangers after ‘worrying’ twist – fans react

Rangers fans fear Jack Butland could be on his way out at Ibrox after what they saw when the club revealed their new goalkeeper kit.

In a social media post on 28 June, the new strip was revealed with Liam Kelly as the face of the advertising following his recent arrival from Motherwell.

However, the absence of Butland from the initial promotional images led fans to question whether the club are expecting him to depart this summer.

Rangers fans had previously raised concerns about Butland’s future after the arrival of Kelly, with many speculating the new arrival could replace their number one.

The goalkeeper’s performances at Ibrox are said to have attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League after he narrowly missed out on an England recall for the Euros.

Football Insider revealed earlier this summer that Butland has not ruled out a return to the Premier League amid plenty of speculation.

Butland, 31, arrived at Ibrox last year and picked up the Men’s Players’ Player of the Year award for his performances between the sticks.

However, amid links with a return to England, fans fear his fate could be sealed.
