Jack Butland sends message to fans after shock Rangers win at Celtic
Rangers pulled out a surprise victory against the run of form against Celtic on Sunday (16 March) in what was a five-goal thriller.
The Gers headed into the game an unbelievable 16 points behind their Old Firm rivals, placing plenty of pressure on Barry Ferguson’s men heading into the game which they won 3-2.
However, Rangers stepped up to the challenge and took the lead in just four minutes as Nicolas Raskin found the back of the net after losing Jeffrey Schlupp at a corner.
Mohamed Diomande extended the lead in the 37th minute to wrap up a dominant first half, but the Hoops responded with two goals in the second half as Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate got Brendan Rodgers’ team back into the game.
The Scottish giants seemed destined to share the spoils until Hamza Igamane’s stunning strike in the 88th won them the game in a dramatic finish.
Rangers will be back in action on Saturday (29 March) away against Dundee as they aim to continue their three-match winning run in all competitions.

Barry Ferguson stamps his claim to the Rangers role
The victory was an important one for the team, but was also significant for Ferguson, who is currently only in charge of Rangers on a temporary basis.
The former club captain was brought in until the end of the season after the sacking of Philippe Clement, but it’s unclear whether or not he will get the post full-time.
However, Rangers fans have called for Ferguson to get that opportunity after guiding the team to an Old Firm win.
