Jack Grealish and Kieran Trippier respond to De Bruyne after he arrives at new destination

Kevin De Bruyne will leave Manchester City at the end of this month but he’s already made it clear where his current focus lies.

De Bruyne spent a decade at the Etihad but the Belgian playmaker will leave the club at the end of June upon the expiry of his contract.

While several clubs have expressed interest, Napoli appear to be leading the race for De Bruyne‘s signature, with Antonio Conte eager to bring him to the Serie A champions.

The 33-year-old has seen his role reduced under Pep Guardiola this season, making just 19 league starts after an injury-hit campaign and struggling to recapture the form fans have come to expect.

De Bruyne already had an emotional send-off at Man City, and even though he hasn’t officially left yet, his attention has clearly shifted to what comes next.

Kevin De Bruyne joins up with Belgium squad ahead of World Cup qualifiers

With club football wrapped up for the season, some players have already reported for international duty, including De Bruyne.

The City legend posted a photo of himself smiling upon arrival at Belgium’s training camp, accompanied by a caption featuring the national flag emoji.

His arrival was met with a wave of support on social media, with the post attracting likes from Jack Grealish, Nathan Ake and Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier.

Belgium are preparing to face North Macedonia and Wales in their upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Despite currently sitting third in Group J, they remain the only team in the group yet to play, while the rest have already featured twice.

De Bruyne, who remains captain of the national side, has made 109 appearances and scored 30 goals for Belgium. At 33, he continues to show no signs of stepping away from international football, with his sights set firmly on competing at the 2026 World Cup.
