However, doubts remain over his long-term future at Stamford Bridge. Football Insider previously reported that Madueke is increasingly likely to leave Chelsea this summer, with Tottenham and Aston Villa both expressing serious interest.
That speculation follows earlier claims that incoming manager Enzo Maresca has reservations about Madueke’s attitude, amid frustrations from the player over an inconsistent role in the side.
Despite limited minutes, he has still managed 11 goals and five assists across all competitions this season, accumulating 2,272 minutes of action.
