Jack Grealish and Phil Foden react to Erling Haaland’s message after Man United demolished

Man City striker Erling Haaland was in high spirits on social media after scoring a brace and sealing a memorable Manchester derby victory.

Man City cruised to a 3-0 win over Man United at the Etihad Stadium on 14 September, putting further pressure on Ruben Amorim.

Phil Foden opened the score after a brilliant piece of skill by Jeremy Doku before Haaland scored two in the second half to put the result beyond doubt.

It was a historic day for the Norwegian as Haaland scored 50 goals in 50 home games for the club, with only Alan Shearer scoring the same amount of goals in fewer games.

Following the victory, the striker posted on social media with a humorous message, earning a reaction from his teammates.

Erling Haaland’s instant reaction after equalling record

Haaland was in a positive mood following the full-time whistle and posted a picture of himself holding his Player of the Match award in one hand and a steak in the other.

He shared a caption that said: “Have a nice evening!” – which drew a response from his teammates. Phil Foden said “What a guy” with a laughing emoji and Ruben Dias commented “Yessir we feasting”.

Other players such as Jack Grealish, Virgil van Dijk and Gianluigi Donnarumma also shared support by liking the message.

Haaland has drawn level with Sergio Aguero in derby goals following his brace, whilst only being at the club for three years.

The two goals that he scored were his seventh and eighth in the derby, levelling him with City’s legend.

His incredible goal-scoring run has shown no sign of slowing down since his arrival in the Premier League, and he now leads the Golden Boot race with five goals.

Man City set Erling Haaland transfer stance amid Real Madrid interest

Despite Haaland signing a new contract with Man City back in January for up to nine-and-a-half years, he continues to be linked with a move away, particularly to Real Madrid.

However, Football Insider revealed Pep Guardiola is desperate to keep Haaland amid the interest from abroad and that the striker is understood to be happy at the club.

Having already lost long-serving and experienced players in the summer window, City have no plans to lose their striker, and there is no indication he wants to leave.
