Jack Grealish breaks social media silence after Man City humiliation
Man City ace Jack Grealish has posted on social media for the first time since their humiliating last-gasp 2-1 Manchester derby defeat to Man United.
Grealish, 29, came on for the last 13 minutes of the game, replacing Jeremy Doku with the score at 1-0 thanks to Josko Gvardiol’s looping header.
Amad Diallo then turned the game on its head, first winning the penalty which Bruno Fernandes expertly dispatched, and then scoring the winner.
City’s Manchester derby defeat means Pep Guardiola’s side have won just one game in their last 11 across all competitions, their worst run since the Spaniard took over in 2016.
The England international has now gone over a full year without scoring for his club, with Grealish’s last goal coming in a 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on December 16th, 2023.
Man City and Jack Grealish fighting to save their seasons after a torrid run of form
Grealish is once again struggling to nail down a starting spot under Guardiola, starting nine of his 17 appearances across all competitions, scoring zero goals, and providing two assists in 850 minutes of action.
The current Premier League champions have now fallen out of their top four, one point off Nottingham Forest in fourth and nine points behind league leaders Liverpool.
The winger took to Instagram to share a training ground image as City prepare to end their torrid run of form against Aston Villa on Saturday (December 21).

Not only are City struggling to stay afloat in the Premier League, they face the very real threat of elimination from the Champions League, sitting in 22nd with French champions PSG up next.
Guardiola’s side have just three games remaining in December as they seek to earn something from their season.
