‘Jack Grealish decides Man City future as frontrunners to sign him emerge’

Jack Grealish’s future has become clearer after the winger endured a lack of game time at Manchester City this season.

Since making a £100million move from boyhood club Aston Villa to the North West giants in 2021, the England international has won three Premier League titles, the Champions League, and the FA Cup with Man City.

Grealish played a key role when Pep Guardiola’s men famously won the treble in 2023, making 50 appearances across all competitions throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

But this term, the 29-year-old was handed just seven Premier League starts by Guardiola, and was an unused substitute during City’s FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace.

Grealish set for move abroad as Man City exit looms

Despite scoring just one Premier League goal this season, Grealish has attracted interest from Napoli, who have won two of the last three Serie A titles.

Meanwhile, talkSPORT revealed [5 June] that the winger has accepted that his Man City career is over, and a move abroad is the most likely outcome amid the interest from Napoli.

Antonio Conte’s side could be an ideal destination for Grealish, after fellow wideman Khvicha Kvaratskhelia left the Italian giants to join PSG.

Napoli would be the ideal destination for Grealish

Despite previously enduring great success with Man City, Grealish has fallen out of favour with Guardiola, which is why he is now keen on moving on to pastures new.

A potential move to Napoli, meanwhile, is one that the former Villa man should be keen on, following the success that Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour have enjoyed since joining Conte’s side after leaving the Premier League.

Despite falling down Guardiola’s pecking order, Grealish still has a lot to offer, while the Serie A side’s current wingers did not contribute as much to their club’s title exploits as they would have liked following Kvaratskhelia’s exit.

For example, Italy international Matteo Politano scores just three goals in 37 top-flight outings, and the Man City man would likely be capable of bettering that if Conte handed him sufficient game time.

Meanwhile, Napoli are also keen on Kevin De Bruyne, and the Belgian’s presence could help Grealish settle into his new surroundings if the City duo both agree terms in southern Italy.
