By Amir Mir

Jack Grealish praised his teammates after England Under-21s booked their place at next summer’s European Championships with a 1-0 victory over Kazakhstan on Thursday night.

Leicester City winger Demarai Gray put his side ahead after six minutes to secure a place in Poland with one game to spare.

Aston Villa youngster Grealish, who travelled to Kazakhstan for the match but missed the game through injury, was delighted for his teammates following the landmark victory.

“Gutted to miss the game tonight with injury!” Grealish wrote on his personal Twitter account. “Buzzing for the boys though with the win & on reaching the finals next summer!!”

Grealish has made four appearances for the England under-21 side scoring two goals since switching allegiances from Republic of Ireland last season.
