Jack Grealish reacts to Eric Dier’s Bayern message as Man City exit looms

Jack Grealish has reacted to an emotional message shared by former Bayern Munich and Tottenham defender Eric Dier.

Dier helped Vincent Kompany’s men win the Bundesliga title next season, making 21 league appearances and scoring two goals in the process.

He is set to join French Ligue 1 side Monaco on 1 July, having spent the last season and a half with the German top-flight champions.

Meanwhile, fellow Englishman Grealish is set to leave Manchester City after being left out of Pep Guardiola’s Club World Cup squad.

Grealish endured a difficult Premier League season last term, managing just one goal in 20 appearances and seven starts.

Meanwhile, taking to Instagram [15 June], Dier wrote: “Became a father here, became a champion here.

“Thank you for everything Bayern Munich.

“Wish the team all the best today for the start of the Club World Cup!”

The post attracted a like from Grealish.

Everton are set to miss out on Grealish

Amid plenty of interest in the 29-year-old’s services, Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Grealish favours a move to Everton over Newcastle.

The former Aston Villa man could provide David Moyes’ side with a bright spark as the Merseyside club look to enjoy a positive start to life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

However, former Everton CEO Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider that Grealish could join Napoli instead of Everton.

If the England international joined the Serie A title winners, he could settle into life quickly thanks to the presence of ex-Man City teammate Kevin De Bruyne.

Furthermore, the likes of Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour have proven how fruitful a move away from the Premier League to Napoli can prove to be.

Antonio Conte’s men were deservedly crowned Italian top-flight champions last month, but widemen Matteo Politano and David Neres both enjoyed relatively unproductive seasons.

Grealish could help bolster Napoli’s threat from out wide, and boost his chances of being selected for England in next summer’s World Cup.
