Jack Grealish hoping to break unwanted record as Everton star faces former club Aston Villa
Jack Grealish can score against Aston Villa for the first time since leaving his boyhood club when Everton face his boyhood club on Saturday.
Since Grealish joined Everton on loan from Manchester City, the 30-year-old has dazzled by notching four assists in three Premier League appearances.
Largely thanks to the former Villa man’s creativity, the Toffees have enjoyed two consecutive wins in the top flight.
If he maintains his strong form for Everton, Grealish can get himself back into the England squad ahead of next summer’s World Cup.

The most defining moment of Grealish’s career came when he left Aston Villa to join Manchester City in 2021.
He played a key role when Pep Guardiola’s men won the treble in 2022/23, notching five goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
However, the winger subsequently fell out of favour at the Etihad Stadium, which led to his summer loan move to Everton.
Meanwhile, since leaving Villa, Grealish has failed to score against his former club in four appearances against them for Man City.
During those encounters, the England international clocked up a total of 252 minutes, but failed to score or assist.

While David Moyes signed Grealish, Everton also did well to retain Iliman Ndiaye, who will look to continue linking up effectively with the England man this term.

The former Aston Villa man currently has more goal contributions than any other player in the Premier League this season, thanks to his four assists.
Surely, then, it is only a matter of time until he manages to score his first goal of the campaign, which could come against Unai Emery’s side on 13 September.
Furthermore, while Everton are in a rich vein of form, Villa have failed to win this season, enduring a 0-0 draw with Newcastle United, before suffering consecutive defeats to Brentford and Crystal Palace.
The West Midlands club have conceded four goals in their last two games, suggesting that Grealish can cause them plenty of problems at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Meanwhile, Jordan Pickford has been backed to earn a pay rise at Everton in a Goodison News exclusive.
