Jack Grealish ‘likes’ Manuel Akanji’s post after his Man City omission
Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has reacted to Manuel Akanji’s message ahead of the new season, amid a major Tottenham reveal.
The 29-year-old is expected to leave City this summer, after falling out of favour with manager Pep Guardiola over the last few months.
Grealish was left out of the Manchester side’s Club World Cup squad last month, and it seems that his future lies away from the Etihad.
Last season, the England international made just seven Premier League starts across the whole campaign, featuring for just 715 top-flight minutes in total.

‘Tottenham set sights on Grealish‘
With the transfer deadline approaching fast, Tottenham have reportedly set their sights on a deal to sign Grealish after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White.
That is according to their former scout Mick Brown, who claims that the winger has moved up the list of targets for Thomas Frank.
Spurs were set to bring in Gibbs-White after believing they had triggered his release clause, but Nottingham Forest disputed the manner of the approach, and the midfielder has now penned a new three-year deal on Trentside.
Man City’s players returned to training this week, and defender Akanji shared a post on Instagram with the caption: “Back at it.”
Grealish was quick to like the post and show support for his teammate, despite the rumours of a move away.
Man City bidders blown out of the water
Off the pitch, Man City have agreed a £1billion deal with Puma to extend their sponsorship deal for another 10 years.
Everton’s former CEO Keith Wyness exclusively told Football Insider that he believes that the standard has now been set for other Premier League teams who are completing similar deals.
Wyness revealed that City received bids from Nike and Adidas before eventually opting to continue their partnership with Puma.
The new deal will see the Citizens earning £100m per year, which is a major increase on the £65m per year fee they previously received.
